The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has revoked the broadcast licenses of fifty-two media houses over failure to renew their licenses.
Director-General of the NBC, Balarabe Ilelah, made this known in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday.
The statement noted that the broadcast regulator had published lists of stations yet to renew their licenses three months ago.
It, however, directed its state offices to liaise with security agencies to ensure the shutdown of the operation of the stations within the next 24 hours.
