The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba has announced that the force will soon begin recruitment exercise of over 20,000 officers.
Baba made this known during a working visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital.
He said the police are determined to increase their strength and size to boost internal security.
The IGP assured that every State and Local Government Area would benefit from the recruitment as the officers would serve in their respective local government areas after training.
