The National Agency for me Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, has rescued a human trafficking survivor from Libya.
Edo State NAPTIP Commander, Nduka Nwanwenne, disclosed this while presenting a check of N5 million compensation to a survivor at NAPTIP office in Benin, the state capital.
Nwanwenne, noted that NAPTIP diligently prosecuted the case with evidences and the Court sentenced the traffickers to seven years in prison or pay N5 million compensation to the victim.
The NAPTIP boss described the judgment as justice for the survivor, the Agency, as well as the society.
