Yet to be identified gunmen have attacked the Nigerian Correctional Centre, in Oyo town of Oyo State, freeing some inmates.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Services, Oyo State Command, Lanre Anjonrin, said security operatives are after the fleeing inmates.
The attack occurred around 10:30pm on Friday.
