Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Ikare-Akoko, Headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area of the state.
A statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, revealed that the curfew will take immediate effect.
The statement noted the curfew became imperative following intelligence reports from the community as regards unrest with the ancient town.
It directed the Police and Amotekun to ensure full compliance and enforcement.
