Kaduna State Police Command has thwarted the kidnap of 16 victims in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The Command Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, disclosed this via a statement issued on Monday.
The statement noted that bandits tried to kidnap the victims in the Masallaci area along Birnin Gwari road.
It disclosed that upon receiving information of the incident, the Divisional Police Officer of Buruku, mobilised personnel on a rescue mission to the area.
