Former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar has raised concerns over the planned removal of fuel subsidy.
Abdulsalami, stated that the country is facing challenges on multiple fronts and removal of fuel subsidy will compound the situation.
He noted that unemployment remains at record level, adding that millions of Nigerians are still caught up in poverty.
The Federal Government has said it plans to discontinue the payment of fuel subsidy by June but the move has been rejected by several stakeholders, including the Nigeria Labor Congress.
