Ogun and Oyo Government Establish Joint Border Security Task Force

Ogun and Oyo state governments have resolved to install closed-circuit cameras on highways to check the activities of criminals.

A communique jointly issued by the state governments revealed that the states agreed to set up a Joint Border Security Task Force with membership drawn from various security agencies in the states.

The communique noted that this will enable the two governments clamp down on criminal elements that operate on the highways.

It urged the Attorneys-General of the states to ensure synergy between law enforcement agencies and their prosecution departments during the investigative and prosecution phases.
