Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has described the Federal government and the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration as slave merchants.
ASUU Chairman of the University of Ibadan, Ayo Akinwole made these disclosures in a statement issued on Sunday in Ibadan, the State Capital.
The statement accused the federal government of lacking in integrity, noting that they can’t be trusted.
It maintained that the government treats lecturers like slaves because of poor policies formulated and implemented in the education sector.
Recall, the Academic Staff Union of Universities had last week commenced a one-month warning strike.
