A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to order the Federal Government to release the detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.
In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Inyang Ekwo ordered Kyari to put the Federal Government on notice of the existence of the suit he instituted against it.
Justice Ekwo, fixed February 24 for the parties to appear before him.
The Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police filed a suit against the Federal Government asking the Court to compel the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA to grant him bail on health grounds, pending the hearing of his fundamental right enforcement application.
