President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Fatima Waziri-Azi, as Director General of the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP.
A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja.
The statement revealed that her appointment followed recommendation from the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, over the urgent need for the Ministry to intensify on the existing capacity of NAPTIP in achieving its key result.
Waziri-Azi before her appointment was a former Head of Department of Public Law at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.
