Anambra State Police Command has warned police personnel in the state to shun bribery or face dismissal.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Tony Olofu, gave the warning at his inaugural press conference at Amawbia Police Command Headquarters in the Awka South Local Government Area of the state.
Olofu urged members of the public to report erring officers to the command for appropriate sanction, adding that the Command under his watch will take drastic measures in crime prevention across the state.
The Commissioner listed major crimes in the state to include armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, disputes over land; kingship tussles, farmers/herders clashes, government infrastructures and sundry offenses.
