FG To Roll Out 5G Network in January 2022

The federal government says the Five Generation, 5G network will be deployed in Nigeria in January 2022.

Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, who was represented by the Commissioner for Technical Services, Nigeria Communication Commission, Ubale Maska, said the 5G network which was recently approved by the Federal Executive Council for increased connectivity would boost surveillance against criminal elements vandalizing public infrastructure across the country.

Pantami, disclosed that there are over 50,000 telecommunication sites across the country, which will be effective through the deployment of modern technology.
