Nigerian Army, on Monday flagged-off Exercise Golden Dawn to combat the security challenges in the South- East Zone.
The flagged-off which was launched by the Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya, in Enugu state, took place simultaneously in other zones of the country.
Yahaya said the Exercise was borne out of the need to combat emerging security challenges in country and to checkmate the menace of kidnapping, assassination and attack on security agencies in the South-East.
He further stated that the exercise, which would metamorphose into real operation, would witness collaboration with other security agencies in exchange of ideas and intelligence.
