Edo State Police Command says it has rescued 10 kidnap victims who were intercepted by hoodlums in the State.
A statement issued yesterday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Kontongs Bello, disclosed that on receiving intelligence reports from local vigilantes, operatives of the command swung into action to rescue the victims in the bush.
The statement revealed that the victims were said to have been travelling from the eastern states to Abuja when a group of hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers stopped them and took them to a bush in the Okpella area of the State.
It added that the State Commissioner of Police, Philip Ogbadu, has enjoined the general public to continue to support the police by providing credible information that will help in the fight against crimes in the state.
