Osun State Government Appeal For The Rehabilitation of Waterways

Osun State Government has appealed to the Federal Government to rehabilitate the waterways to prevent the frequent flooding in the State.

The State Commissioner for Works, Oluremi Omowaiye disclosed this to newsmen on Monday during an inspection visit to Rasco Area of Osogbo to ascertain the level of damage because of Saturday’s downpour.

Omowaiye stated that the volume of rainfall experienced in the State had been massive; adding that after a thorough inspection the State government will carry out palliative work while waiting for the Federal Government to come to their aide.
