Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has stressed the need to restructure the country to devolve power to states to make them function effectively.
Governor Akeredolu stated this during the visit of the officials of the National Senior Secondary Education Commission, who were in the state for an advocacy and sensitization workshop with education stakeholders in the South-West States.
Akeredolu, who ruled out disintegration of Nigeria as a solution to her problem, noted that the fiscal policy and over centralization of power in the hands of the Federal Government had turned the country into a unitary nation.
The Governor reiterated that there is a need for devolution of powers to enable the states function effectively as federating units within the federation.
