FCT Police Command Bans Use of Fireworks

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has announced the prohibition of sales and use of all kinds of fireworks and knockouts in Abuja.

A statement issued by FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, maintained that the order is part of a proactive move to contain crimes and criminality during the yuletide season.

The statement warned that anyone who violates the order would be arrested and brought to book.

It enjoined residents to be security conscious and promptly report any suspicious activity within their locality.
