President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC.
Buhari approved a new interim Governing Board to oversee the company’s daily operations.
The President directed the Bureau of Public Enterprises to set up a new management team of the AEDC.
This followed the industrial action embarked on by staff members over non-payment of arrears of pensions, allowances, and salaries on Monday.
Recall that Abuja and other States under Abuja Distribution Company were thrown into darkness on Monday following the industrial action.
