Kogi State Government says it has repatriated 34 children trafficked from Ogun State to Plateau State.
The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Fatima Buba disclosed this on Sunday during a press briefing in Lokoja, the state capital.
Buba said after several interviews and investigations, it was discovered that the trafficked children were from Plateau State and were handed over to the Plateau Ministry of Women Affairs to reunite them with their parents.
Recall that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency had on 16th December, 2021 intercepted 34 children in two commercial Buses along the Okene-Lokoja Expressway.
