Zamfara government announces reopening of schools

Zamfara State Government has announced the reopening of some primary and secondary schools.

Acting Director, Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education, Shehu Ibrahim, disclosed that schools would resume today, Monday, January 17.

Ibrahim noted that Public and private schools are to resume normal academic activities.

He added that those under the red category remain closed until the security situation improves.

The reopening comes 20 weeks after bandits abducted 80 students and 3 teachers from Government Day Secondary School, Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area.
