The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 470 fresh suspected cases of cholera and nine deaths.
The centre, in its latest cholera report revealed that of the suspected cases since the beginning of the year, the age group five years and below is the most affected.
According to the report, a total of 10 states have reported suspected cholera cases this year.
It added that it would continue training in cholera surveillance, hotspot mapping and developing state level preparedness and response plans, as well as maintaining communication with and support to states.
