Oyo State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has lost two of its members to Lassa fever within 72 hours.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Association’s chairman, Ayotunde Fasunla, on Thursday in Ibadan, the state capital.
The statement urged its members to treat all feverish illnesses with a high index of suspicion.
It added the body had also instructed its members to be cautious and vigilant at all times.
