UN Accuses Myanmar Military of Human Rights Violation

The United Nations has accused Myanmar’s military of engaging in systematic human rights violations.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet said security forces have shown a flagrant disregard for human life.

Bachelet added that many victims were shot in the head, burned to death, arrested arbitrarily, tortured, or used as human shields.

The military has denied that atrocities have taken place and has blamed terrorists for causing unrest.
