Niger State government has ordered political office holders aspiring to contest for elective offices in 2023 to tender their resignation.
A circular signed by the secretary to the state government, Ahmed Matane, gave all political aspirants who are appointees up to the end of March to tender their resignation.
The circular stated that all political appointees and public servants aspiring for political offices are expected to tender their resignation prior to the conduct of party primaries.
It directed the aspirants to submit their letter of resignation to the Office of Secretary to the State Government, SSG, on or before 31st March, 2022.
