Akwa Ibom state government has evacuated stranded indigenes in Kaduna state following recent insurgency in some parts of the state.
This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Ini Adiakpan, in Uyo the state capital.
Adiakpan stated that the approach of the state government to intervene resulted from a cry for help by its indigenes after destruction of their properties.
The commissioner revealed that the state government has however evacuated a total of 34 indigenes from the state.
