Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has called for collaboration between Nigeria and the United States in tackling the spread of terrorism.
A statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, revealed that the Vice President made the call at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, US State Department, Victoria Nuland, paid him a courtesy visit.
The statement noted that the spread of terrorist organizations should be tackled firmly and permanently.
It commended the US government for providing support to Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, with the delivery of the first batch of Super Tucano jets and the proposed purchase of 12 AH-1Z Cobra attack helicopters.
