Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, says his administration will partner the United States of America mission in Nigeria and the National Agency for the control of AIDS, NACA, to ensure eradication of HIV/AIDS in the state.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the state government, Onyebuchi Ememanka, assured that the state will increase HIV testing as well as other curative interventions that would lead to eradication of the deadly disease.
The statement noted that the state would mobilize all the necessary platforms in other to beat the eighteen months deadline to bring HIV/AIDS under control in the state.
It, however, appealed to the US delegation to continue to support the state in its quest to win the war against the disease.
